Reducing CO2 Emissions

At Direct Food Solution we are proud to say we try to operate our business with minimal environmental impact.

It is our mission to continuously improve our green credentials, which are focused on eliminating waste, creating efficiencies, and optimizing processes to meet our sustainability goals.

What we are doing today:

• We recycle all our cardboard
• All our packaging materials are made from recycle content
• We use local suppliers whenever possible to reduce carbon emissions
• Our site has been fitted with LED lighting systems
• Our consumption of fuel and energy are closely monitored and we take measures to ensure that they are not wasted
• Increased use of email and web applications which greatly reduces the amount of paper used

What we are planning to achieve in the future:

• We want to purchase and introduce electric vans to lower emissions level
• We intend to install solar panels to produce renewable energy
• We plan to switch to a different refrigerant for our chillers to improve on energy efficiency
